Investing in the Future: Forge Infrastructure and Sustainability
In the spirit of transparency, we would like to share with you an important development in the Forge ecosystem. Atlassian, As of January 1, 2026, Forge announced that its platform will become a paid service. This is an important change that affects all partners who develop applications on Forge, including us.
From the beginning, we promised to keep SnapAssign and SnapMetrics – Real Time Analytics free as long as Forge remained free. This gave many teams the chance to try and adopt these tools without any cost barriers. We’re proud of what we’ve built with you.
However, Atlassian’s new policy brings changes that we cannot ignore. One of them is a new policy with stricter limitations for free apps. “usage limit” approach. This means that even if we want to keep our apps free their performance and reliability would be jeopardized that means. Compromising on the experience you rely on has never been an option for us.
Therefore, after careful consideration, we have decided to transition SnapAssign and SnapMetrics – Real Time Analytics to a paid model. This transition will allow us to
- Keeping the service stable and uninterrupted.
- Continue to develop new features and improvements.
- Ensuring that your usage is not restricted by new limits.
We realize that this news may not be easy. That’s why we are making this transition that we won’t do it overnight we would like to emphasize.
👉 Both apps will remain completely free until the end of the first quarter of 2026, at our own expense.
We do it because:
- We want to give you more time to adapt to change.
- We aim to keep your teams using the apps without interruption.
- We encourage you to assess the value of the practices before making a commitment.
